Low-voltage copper core power cables, low-voltage aluminum alloy cables, and power cables were installed in Shapotou District, Zhongwei City, Ningxia
With the development of urban and rural planning and construction, power demand in various regions is growing annually, placing higher demands on the stability of the upper-level power grid's transmission capacity. Cable lines have become the preferred transmission method for urban centers, surrounding areas, and industrial development zones. How to rationally plan and design cable lines, while complying with current national regulations and standards while adapting to local conditions and meeting the needs of power users, has become a primary concern for power planners and designers.
Against this backdrop, Northwest Electric Power Construction First Engineering Co., Ltd. launched a bidding process and ultimately selected our company as the preferred contractor for production after a comprehensive comparison, detailed needs assessment, and site environment evaluation. Our engineering team analyzed and discussed design cases based on the site environment, cable laying conditions, and the inherent characteristics of the cable itself, in light of project realities. We also proposed a design optimization solution to address safety hazards present in the Shapotou District Muguang-Storage Integrated Project (Phase I). This solution aims to prevent similar issues in future cable line renovation and expansion projects and provide a technical reference for similar projects.
To improve the insulation quality of used cables, this project also introduced cable external insulation repair technology, which evenly sprays the repair paint onto the cable surface. Repeated spraying is particularly targeted at damaged areas of the external insulation, achieving a certain thickness. This strengthens the cable's insulation in this area, significantly extending the service life of the power cable and ensuring reliable line operation.
At the same time, through research on design cases for potential hazards remediation in cable lines across different voltage levels, combined with recent experience in planning and designing multi-voltage cable lines, relevant technical references and design standards have been compiled to enhance the design expertise and service capabilities of cable lines. This allows cable line design drawings to be more closely aligned with project realities, shortening project design schedules, achieving design optimization and customer satisfaction, and ultimately achieving significant economic and social benefits.
